On Wednesday, February 18, I had the honor of representing Conexsol México at the celebration of the 10th Anniversary of Mujeres en Energía Renovable México (MERM). As Operations Manager, attending this event was not merely an act of institutional presence, but an opportunity to reaffirm our commitment to the evolution of Mexico’s energy sector.
Reflecting on MERM’s trajectory over the past decade is a clear reflection of an industry that has undergone profound transformation. We are not only deploying clean technology; we are building the ecosystem that will sustain the economy of the future.
A Strategic Assessment: From Vision to Execution
During the panel “Energy Transition: A Decade in Review and the Vision Toward 2035,” the critical path Mexico must follow was analyzed. From the operational perspective we experience at Conexsol México, the conclusion was clear: the energy transition has ceased to be an aspiration and has become an operational and strategic imperative.
What is most inspiring about this assessment is recognizing that the industry has matured. The consolidation of women in executive and strategic decision-making roles is now a pillar of efficiency. From our local experience, we have seen that this diversity in leadership not only enriches dialogue, but also accelerates innovation and the viability of renewable energy projects. The industry has changed—and that change is undoubtedly a driver of competitiveness.
Leadership Transition and the Vision Toward 2035
It was a meaningful moment to acknowledge the work of Patricia Tatto, who for ten years has been a key figure in opening spaces for those who now lead the operational side of the sector.
We also celebrated the renewal of the Board of Directors. From Conexsol México, we extend our warmest congratulations to Adhara Perales on her new role as President of MERM. We are confident that her leadership will strengthen the necessary bridges between technical innovation and sustainability policies—essential elements to achieving the goals we have set toward 2035.
We leave this gathering with the conviction that the next ten years will demand the very best from us. At Conexsol, we are ready to continue driving an energy transition that is technically sound, financially viable, and above all, inclusive.
