The Challenge: 10 Hours Without Power in Venezuela

On August 28, 2024, Venezuela experienced a 10-hour blackout that left much of the country without electricity. This situation threatened to disrupt critical services, including an essential radio base for local communications.

Our Response: Uninterrupted Backup for 10 Hours

Thanks to the advanced solar system and batteries installed by Conexsol, the radio base remained operational throughout the blackout. During those 10 hours, our system provided constant and reliable energy, ensuring that communications were not interrupted.

The system, based on SolarEdge technology, not only supported the continuous workload but also dynamically adjusted to the energy needs of the radio base, maximizing efficiency and ensuring a secure backup. This was possibly the greatest test these systems have faced, and they successfully passed the field test, demonstrating their reliability in extreme conditions.

The client for this project is Telefónica España, one of the largest telecommunications providers in the world. Their infrastructure is crucial to maintaining connectivity throughout Venezuela, and they relied on Conexsol to ensure the continuity of their operations during this blackout.
